The Alpena Symphony The A.S.O. is North East Michigan's only orchestra. It was founded to give both players and listeners in the area a chance to appreciate, participate, and enjoy classical music. Each year it plays more demanding music.
Summer Concert Wednesday August 13 Details coming soon.
Mission Statement The priority of the Alpena Symphony Orchestra is to share the beauty of orchestral music to the residents of Alpena and the surrounding community.
The orchestra board of directors and the symphony players are dedicated to providing high quality classical music of many genres to our patrons. It is our policy to seek and to promote musical talent from the Alpena area. We hope to encourage and advance this talent by offering opportunities in orchestral, ensemble and solo instruction.
Since the Alpena Orchestra is a 501c3 non-profit organization, all donations are tax deductible. We are looking for corporate sponsors to annually support us, and private individuals. The contributor will be acknowledged on our programs.
Your Support Generous contributions from lovers of fine classical music fuel the Alpena Symphony's artistic growth. Contributions are essential to the Orchestra's survival as a viable cultural resource. Ticket revenues cover only about one third of what it costs to present the Symphony's concerts. Gifts from generous individuals, businesses, and foundations must make up the difference.
Your gift to the A.S.O. really counts. Please enclose a tax-deductible contribution. Be as generous as you can. Your gift is an investment in fine music and in our community.
Thank you for your support!
