About the Orchestra:
The A.S.O. is North East Michigan's only orchestra. It was founded 3 years ago to give both players and listeners in the area a chance to appreciate, participate, and enjoy classical music.
The A.S.O. Mission
The priority of the Alpena Symphony Orchestra is to share the beauty of orchestral music to the residents of Alpena and the surrounding community.
The orchestra board of directors and the symphony players are dedicated to providing high quality classical music of many genres to our patrons.
It is our policy to seek and to promote musical talent from the Alpena area. We hope to encourage and advance this talent by offering opportunities in orchestral, ensemble and solo instruction.

Since the Alpena Orchestra is a 501c3 non-profit organization, all donations are tax deductable. We are looking for corporate sponsors to annually support us, and private individuals. The contributor will be acknowledged on our programs. Click on the donations tab on the upper right of this page for more information.
